2013 High School and College Football Broadcast Information

HOUSTON—Beginning August 29, the Legacy Sports Network (LSN) will begin its sixth full season of broadcasting Houston area high school football. Games can be heard and seen on a variety of platforms including Comcast Sportsnet Houston, FOX Sports Southwest, and YouTube to go along with the LSN’s website, http://www.legacysportsnetwork.com

LSN’s lead announce team for the 2013 season will be Michael Silvers and Brent Moody. This season marks the eleventh consecutive year this tandem have worked games together which has spanned across three different networks. Their first assignment will emanate from Reliant Stadium on Thursday, August 29 when the Klein Bearkats meet the reigning Class 5A Division II State Champions, the Katy Tigers. They will then transition from audio to video webcasts seen on FOXSportsSouthwest.com beginning on September 14 and will work select Saturday matchups until the conclusion of the regular season. All games will be archived on the LSN website and on the network’s YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/legacysportsnetwork

Building upon last year’s successful venture the LSN will produce a weekly, tape delayed game of the week for Comcast Sportsnet Houston (CSN Houston) beginning with a non-district affair from Abshier Stadium in Deer Park. On that night, August 30, the Deer Park Deer will play host to the Clear Lake Falcons. Gerald Sanchez, filling in for former Houston Astros broadcaster Brett Dolan, will call the game alongside Ken Moore and Jay Darneal. Dolan will return to the play by play microphone on September 13. All games will seen on CSN Houston in crystal clear 1080i high definition at 7:00am each Saturday morning. The games will also be archived on the LSN website and YouTube channel.

The LSN will also continue its broadcast relationships with the following schools and school districts: Deer Park, Klein, La Porte, Oak Ridge, Pasadena ISD, Port Arthur High School, and St. Thomas High School.

New for 2013 the LSN enters a broadcast relationship with Galena Park ISD where both the Galena Park Yellow Jackets and North Shore Mustangs will be featured on a game of the week style basis.

FOX Football Friday

For a third season the LSN will assist in the production of the weekly FOX Sports Southwest program “FOX Football Friday Presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football”. The show, hosted by Jeff Power and Greg Tepper, travels across the state of Texas broadcasting from various game sites through the season and featuring whiparound style coverage of all the great games each Friday night.

Houston Baptist University Football

As the Houston Baptist University Huskies begin a new era in the Southland Conference the Legacy Sports Network is proud to be the power behind the Huskies audio streaming platform. The Huskies begin on the road on Saturday, August 30 visiting Huntsville, TX and the Sam Houston St. Bearkats. Jeff Power joins the voice of the Huskies, Lonnie King, for this inaugural season of Husky football.

About Legacy Sports Network

The Legacy Sports Network creates video and audio production and marketing for audiences of athletic events. We are excited about bringing the best in sporting events to you, the fan, live on the web and on radio.

We launched in the fall of 2008 with high school volleyball and football. In conjunction with our sister site TAPPSTV.com, as the 2008-09 scholastic year unfolded and the seasons of other sports began, we brought you the excitement of the best in high school basketball, hockey, soccer, softball and baseball. In 2010 the LSN ventured in to the collegiate market with San Jacinto College and the University of St. Thomas. In 2012, the LSN developed their mobile app which can be downloaded from the iTunes Store and Google Play! In 2013, the LSN will be the power behind the audio streaming of Houston Baptist University football.

Our goal is to become the standard for athletic event production by which all others are measured!
